@Bruce_Briggs, I replaced the ethernet cable and I contacted the isp. There aren't any problems with the isp device. I am still getting a large number of rx packet errors. Do you have any other ideas?

@James_Carson , I applied the patch mentioned in your article. I rebooted the system. I verified that the module was installed. The fan speed is still 17,763 rpm.
