  • I think I've cleared this. Nothing specific to report back... sitll having the Citrix issue though.
  • Thanks BB. Will report back
  • Will do. Thanks Bruce.
  • I can’t work this out. :'( Things are unusable. On an iPhone, tum off the Wi-Fi and apps and websites load instantly. Going to continue looking.
  • Digging... 1) I've reset the Network Settings on the suspect iPhone. No change. 2) Couldn't really see any issues on the Traffic Monitor (but that's just probably me...) 3) Deleted the 'Alias' from the Firewall settings and created a new one with different name... Monitoring... will report back.
  • So, it may be related to one IP address. https-proxy nondata event 'CHAN_READ_BLOCKED: 174: 10.0.1.40:57149 -> 2.18.84.26:443 [A txr] {N }' Debug
  • Thanks for that one - didn't realise that option existed.
  • Hi Bruce. Here's some info from my tests: 1) All mobile devices are on an Alias - I don't believe that this use of Aliases in rules has an impact. 2) I deleted all rules specifcally applicable to the mobile alias. 3) Created new HTTP, HTTPS and TCP-UDP proxies for the mobile alias. 4) No improvement. 5) DNS Proxy which was…
  • Hi Bruce. No. There’s negligible traffic within the network and external interferences the same. Firebox CPU utilisation is similar. Speedtest shows 145Mbps but there was a long delay in that starting too. David
  • Hi James, Apologies for the delayed reply... Thanks for your help; in response; The Firebox capability/throughput isn't a concern, the spec is suitable for my use. Today, my 'theory question' is more practical. Wifi (WG AP) is working very well and providing great speed with the majority of devices... apart from one where…
  • Ah, understood. Thanks James.
  • I've now got both the orignal Log Server showing correctly on the Front Panel (Added it as Server2 in the logging settings). I have the Dimension server as Server1 in the logging settings but Front Panel still shows Dimension as being disabled.
  • Dimension is working and looking good. However, in the Firebox Web UI, the Dimension Server details in the right-hand panel shows Dimension as 'Disabled'. The Log Server IP has now changed to the IP of the Dimension Server. Have I missed a step or done something wrong?
  • I have finally managed to get around to installing Dimension this morning. Really impressed! Very nice to be able to see what's going on in more detail. The IP address mapping feature helps make assessment and analysis easier. Thanks for the advice guys.
  • Apologies James - I'd missed your reply earlier in the month. Thanks.
  • James, thanks. I use the Log Server but haven't, until now, considered Dimension. Consider it a 'New Year resolution'... I'm going to install and have a look at what Dimension can do.
  • Excellent. Thank you Bruce.
  • Thank you James, Bruce. James, thanks for the technical comparison.
  • Thanks Bruce. Couldn't see anything related to benefits or pros/cons. I'm currently running an AP120 and in my experience it's not particularly good. I'm considering an AP125 but then found the UniFi nanoHD.
  • James, Bruce, thanks again. Useful and informative - something for me to think about. :)
  • Thanks James. Door locks are pickable (a Google search will also tell you how to do this) but I still have a lock on my house and lock the door when I leave. :) o:) My intention was to add another level of protection - something a bit more 'physical' - to protect the network; not necessarily to prevent a determined hacker,…
  • By way of an update... I received a replacement AP from Watchguard after raising a ticket and receiving (excellent) support from the WG Team. Appears that something had gone wrong with the AP120. Since replacement, performance and stability is fantastic.
  • Still playing around with this and seeing how things go...
  • Hi Gregg, I've been using AUTO power. I'll try that and let you know. Thanks for the information/suggestion.
  • Hi Bruce, I've been thinking of creating two SSIDs for 2.4 and 5 - I was under the impression that it was 'best practice' to have a single SSID cover both bands and then let the device and band-steering run the show. I'll try the dual-SSID method...
  • The SSID uses both radios and therefore both bands. Band steering is active but for some reason few (if any) clients connect to the 5GHz band.
  • Hi Bruce, Thanks for the reply. My T35W is managing the AP120 - the AP120 has two radios, one for each band. Apologies my initial post was a little unclear: the SSID in question is on the AP120 and the AP120 is managed by the T35W via its Gateway Wireless Controller.
