Multi-WAN with asymmetrical interfaces
Hi all,
I now have two WAN connections going to my M470 Firebox and I want to offer maximum bandwidth to my users. They usually mostly download stuff, but since Covid19 we also have a fair amount of videoconferences sometimes.
Here are my two WANs :
WAN1 (20 Mbps UP / 20 Mbps DOWN)
WAN2 (10 Mbps UP / 80 Mbps DOWN)
WAN2 is asymmetrical, and will perform better for download than for upload compared to WAN1, but WAN1 will definitely perform better for videoconferencing and VPN.
I though of using the "interface overflow" mode but I do not understand how to set it up since I can only put 1 bandwidth threshold for each interface (and for WAN2 I have two different numbers - which one to use?). What would be the best mode to choose for my use case?

Look at using SD-WAN, where you can select which policies will use a specific WAN interface.
For example, you can set your HTTP & HTTPS policies to use WAN2, and perhaps have WAN1 as the default outgoing WAN.
