Allowing custom URIs on the FireCloud client

I need the ability to launch the custom URI "swyxware://auth" for Enreach / Swyx authentication. With the VPN disabled, the authentication works without any issues.
At the moment, I cannot find an option to configure this.

Does anyone have an idea how this can be set up?

  • The issue was successfully resolved by using the external IP address in combination with a tunnel bypass.

From my experience, this usually isn't a Swyx Control Center setting issue but a VPN policy problem. Custom URI schemes are handled locally by Windows, and the VPN software can interfere by restricting application launches, DNS resolution, or access to the authentication service.

I would compare the behavior with:

    1. VPN connected but split tunneling enabled.
    2. VPN connected with the Swyx client/authentication servers excluded.
    3. VPN connected using a different profile.

If only the VPN state changes the result, I would focus on the VPN firewall/security module rather than Swyx configuration.
