Co-existence with Windows Defender
If we want to run Windows Defender that's included with the OS, in parallel with EPDR, what should be excluded in EPDR?

Hi @EAGCTX
Please see the article here:
https://www.watchguard.com/help/docs/help-center/en-US/Content/Integration-Guides/TDR/win-defender8.1_tdr.htmlThe directories should be the same for EPDR/EDR, and on the Microsoft side appear to be the same for windows 10/11.

Thank you, James.
Hi,
I just have had the same question so I would like to read the link, but it returns 404. Could anyone point me current link of the document?
Hello, @K43Shimada
Nor we nor microsoft supports the use of two antivirus on the very same machine.
That is why we do not have the article anymore on our help section.
this is what microsoft says on this matter.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/defender-endpoint/microsoft-defender-antivirus-compatibility
You can try and follow Microsoft advice, on how to set it up.
But certainly, we do not support Microsoft windows Defender working along EPDR.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks David, understood! And, one more thing I would like to know; is Windows native Firewall also set disabled when EPDR is installed? I cannot read from their smart documents whether Windows native Firewall is included in Windows Defender or not.
If you activate EPDR/AD360 firewall on our product, we find Windows Firewall enabled, we do disable Windows Firewall, in order to have only one FW active.
