Editing proxy action domain names
Hi guys!
I need to edit a Proxy Action rule in order to get an app running properly.
Would it be possible to edit the current table outside Firebox, to make it easier to add new domain names?
It would be nice to edit it over CLI or to load the updated table as csv file.
Thanks in advance!

An external version of the config file is in .xml format, in which is very difficult to add additional Domain Names etc. because of the complex format.
Exactly what Proxy Action type are you asking about?
HTTPS?
I would suggest editing your XML config file via WSM and uploading it later. (Be sure to let any other admins know you're doing this, as any changes made between the time you downloaded the config file and when you upload changes will be lost as they were not in the config file.)
It is possible to edit proxy actions via the CLI, but it requires the same type of access as doing so via the WebUI or WSM -- meaning you'll need to be connected to the firewall.
I would suggest that you do not try to edit the raw XML file -- we do not provide any support for doing this.

Hi,
yes bruce, I was mentioning a custom HTTPS proxy action.
Often there are several URLs per destination, sometimes many of them, and it would be nice the way to clasiffy and edit them faster than one by one over WebUI.
I'll check the xml config file and locate the domain names added per HTTPS proxy action. Good point the warning to avoid any change during external edition.
Thanks and I'll report results.
Consider using WSM Policy Manager for doing this.
I consider it easier for bulk actions than the Web UI, especially for proxy actions.
Yes, thanks Bruce. I've already checked the xml file and how to edit the domain names. Sure, it would be safer to do it from WSM.
Thanks for your quick answers!
