Error connecting to Policy Manager on T30-W device
Device has been placed in recovery mode with OS version 12.0.2
Using WSM 12.9.4
When trying to access Policy Manager on the device, getting an error:
"An error occurred while checking dvcp managed flag of the Firebox 10.0.1.1. XML-RPC command not found"
Trying to access the Web UI times out
CLI via putty fails
Quick Setup wizard fails when trying to load a new firmware (tested with multiple fireware versions, including 12.5.9 U2)
Are we screwed on this device or is there a way to get beyond this error?

Hi @ENT_Support
Try an older version of WSM.
The closest thing I could find to 12.0.2 would be WSM 12.1
https://cdn.watchguard.com/SoftwareCenter/Files/WSM/12_1/wsm_12_1.exe12.8 was the version that customers were using when the 12.5.9 update 2 release was posted:
https://cdn.watchguard.com/SoftwareCenter/Files/WSM/12_8/wsm_12_8.exeT30 is end of life and would not have an active support license with it anymore. I would not expect that this device accept an upgrade in that state.

I appreciate the suggestions. Tried both versions of System Manager with no luck. Luckily, we finally convinced the client to purchase something that is currently supported so we will just recycle this unit.

My guess would be that the box is simply not booting up completely. It's possible that the flash memory on that firewall failed.
Plugging in via a serial cable (the standard RJ45 to DB9 rollover type, the light blue ones if you have cisco equipment laying around, set baud rate to 115200.)
A new device is the best choice here (in my opinion.) It'll be supported, get security updates, and if something did fail on it, would be eligible for advance RMA as long as there's an active support contract with it.

Hi @james.carson we currently have this issue, the device is M670 in firecluster setup. The same error message is popping up when we tried to open the policy manager. We also tried logging in to WEBUI but unfortunately it seems we also cannot logged in. The current version is 12.5.1
Hi @krstffrcrvnts
12.5.1 is rather old, and susceptible to cyclops blink
See:

and

If you're looking for more information, and have an active support contract for your M670, I'd suggest opening a support case by using the support center link at the top right of this page.
