Dimension - Report E-Mail Not Working?

Hi,

I've got an odd thing.

Running an "email test" in the settings of dimension, I receive the email, etc.

Running a report for "now" however, I don't get an email for anything.

Do I have to mark each individual device to actually receive the report?

I can see dimension has data for an example period in dimension, but again no email is received?

    Hi Morse,

    If you go to (gear icon) -> system settings, then diagnostics.
    -Click the email tab

    You can see the email logs for when the Dimension server tries to send emails. If possible, try to look close to when the email sends, it'll be easier to find. You should see any response you get from the server the mail is sending to if it's sending at all.

    I thought that only was relevant to test emails, didn't know it was logging the whole thing.

    Having said that,

    I'll dig into this, but does anything popout?

    Your exchange server is rejecting the message. This is the response the Dimension server logged from it:

    Some of us use a local Exchange server, some use external services such as Gmail or Mircosoft.

    I used this instruction with which I configured dimension, but the email remains in the queue, I can't solve this problem.

  • Hi we have same problem. The email server is smtp.office365.com. Is possible to change the sender mail wlogserver@localhost to another custom?

  • Hi bruce i had already change it into wgdimension but is not the user who send the mail. I have to change wlogserver@localhost to xxxxx@mydomain.com. Thanks for the help

  • If i use the diagnostics button to send a e-mail it works because i can set the e-mail of the sender, but in the scheduled report the Dimension System send the e-mail with wlogserver@localhost and Exchange block it. :neutral:

  • In your report settings - Destination Selection, you specify the To: email addr.
    In the System Settings - E-mail Settings, you specify the From: email addr.

    With both my email addr, it works for me.

    Here is what I see from Gmail:

    Received: from Bruce-Dimension.gmail.com
    My System name = Bruce-Dimension
    My Domain name = gmail.com

    from: bruce.briggs@gmail.com
    to: bruce.briggs@gmail.com
    subject: Scheduled Report generation


  • i add the image but i don't see the label FROM: into System Setting - E-mail Settings.
    Where is it? i use Dimension console...

    Select > Server Management.
    Select the Configuration tab.
    Select the Notifications tab.
    Enable the Notifications for Events Flag
    In the Notification Setup section:
    In the Send Email From text box, type the full email address of the account from which you want to send notification messages
