Client connected multiple times on the same AP

Hello all,
we have a M200 and a few AP (AP100,AP300).
One SSID (via VLAN) for all AP´s.

My Problem:
If a Client connect to a new AP the old AP didn´t remove the Client and if the Client try to connect to the first AP he could but became an Issue(no internet connection).

After a few minutes the AP lost the first log in and the Client can connect

How could i fix it?

Thanks

    Hi @Seb

AP100, 102, 200, and 300 are all end of life, so no new firmware or fixes will be coming for those devices.

I'd suggest ensuring that they're on the latest firmware, which you can find under the "legacy" section of software.watchguard.com.

  • Hi @James_Carson

The current Firmware 1.2.9.16 is installed on the AP.

    Hi @Seb

That's the latest version for that AP.
For the AP300, the latest version will be 2.0.0.11.

Like I mentioned, these APs aren't supported anymore.

If you're usiing WPA or WPA2 PSK, the authentication is handled on the AP itself.

Since each AP is independent of the other APs in this mode, even if the AP itself hasn't removed the client from its list, this shouldn't be a problem if it tries to connect to a new AP.

Does this issue only happen with one client, or multiple devices?

If your M200 still has support, you may want to open a case to see if the support representatives can help assist from that perspective.

    Thank you,

  • Thank you @James_Carson

The issue is on multiple devices.

But even if the AP has the end of life, I think that this is a normal function and must always work. even if it is no longer supported.

The M200 has still support, so i will open a case.

    Thank you.
