Configure external interface with gateway on a different subnet than the interface IP address.

Is anybody using this configuration to eliminate the need for a router in front of the firebox's external interface?

In Fireware XTM v11.9.1 or higher, you can configure a physical external interface with a default gateway on a different subnet than the interface IP address.
