I installed TDR, and noticed folders named “!TDR.bin” and “ΩTDR.bin”. What are these?

These folders are part of TDR’s Host Ransomware Prevention detection service and are normally hidden. If the Host Sensor detects changes to these files, the Host Sensor reports the event back to TDR as possible ransomware activity.

    1. Open File Explorer.
    2. Click View **to show the View ribbon.
    3. Clear the **Hidden Items
    check box.

    1. Open File Explorer.
    2. Select Organize > Folder.
    3. Select Search Options.
    4. Click the View tab.
    5. In the Hidden files and folders settings, select Don't show hidden files, folders, or drives.
