Has anyone used the strongSwan VPN client on an Andoid device successfully?

I configured the IKEv2 Mobile VPN on my T50 as instructed, created and unzipped the Client Profile, then moved the Android WG IKEv2.sswan to my Android smart phone, added the VPN profile in strongSwan and tried connecting. But all I get is this error message:
"Failed to establish VPN : Server is unreachable" I would appreciate any suggestions on where the problem might lie.

I can reach the server with the IP Address in the client so I know that there are no network connection problems. I have also successfully configured an IPSec VPN on an iPad which also works.
