When to start a Discussion v's Ask a Question....

When you create a post in WatchGuard Community, you must choose between two slightly different types of post: Ask a Question or New Discussion. Both options enable threaded replies, but Questions can be marked as having an Accepted Answer to indicate the original question was answered. You cannot mark a Discussion as answered.

We recommend you Ask a Question if you have a specific question that will likely have a definitive answer, such as “How do I configure XXX?” or “What does this error message mean?”. We recommend you start a New Discussion for conversations and questions that do not have a definitive answer, such as collecting feedback or soliciting opinions and best practice.
