VPN web server stops working after some time.
We have a dedicated External P address hosted at our home office that points to a server that is running HTTPS web services at a branch site. When we set the source IP address the connection will work for 30 to 40 minutes and then it stops working . If we change the source IP address to another IP address it works again. We have the same setup for a smtp server using the same source IP address and it never stops working. Any one have a similar issue or might know where we should look? I do not see anything in the logs but allowed. no different when it works and does not.

For the record, what firewall model do you have, and what Fireware version is it running?
Exactly what stops working? What is running over that connection?

the main site is a M270 version 12.12.1.B740798 and the one at the branch office is a M290 running 12.12.1.B740798. we ahve a public IP that points from the main site down to a server sitting at the branch site. we have two rules for HTTPS traffic and SMTP traffic. The HTTPS traffic stops working after a little while. go in and change the traffic source and it will start working again.

Are there separate sessions over the HTTPS connection or just very long running ones?
Are you using a HTTPS proxy policy to allow this traffic or a HTTPS packet filter or some other policy?

Ithis is its own policy for https 443 traffic. it is not using a proxy policy and these would be separate sessions.

Nothing comes to mind for something to change here.
Since you are on the latest Fireware versions for your firewalls, consider opening a support case on this to get help from a WG rep on understanding and resolving this.
