ap120 and firware 12.11
I'm guessing this means my firebox managed ap120 is going to stop working unless I let it be cloud managed before upgrading my m270 to fireware to 12.11 ?
--> As of Fireware v12.11, only AP125, AP225W, AP325, AP327X, AP420 devices that run the latest v11.0.0-36-4 firmware are supported by the Gateway Wireless Controller on a Firebox. [FBX-27755]
Or will the ap120 be completely unuseable?

Hi @Steve_E
AP120 can't be cloud managed anymore as that device is end of life.
See: https://www.watchguard.com/wgrd-trust-center/end-of-life-policy
If you upgrade to 12.11 and your AP is Gateway Wireless Controller managed, you will no longer be able to manage it via GWC.
If you wish to continue configuring it, you will need a firebox running 12.10.4 or older. The AP will continue to run using its current settings unless it is reset.
I would suggest upgrading your AP120 as it hasn't received any security updates since the 8.8.3-12 release in March 2020.

I have an old AP300 which I just connected to my T20 running V12.11 and my Fireware config still includes a GWC config which has the old AP300 & AP200.
The AP came online & the SSIDs show up on my wireless devices & I can connect to those SSIDs.
So, I'm guessing that you can't add old AP devices or old firmware to support those devices to GWC in V12.11 and higher, since my AP300 still works on V12.11.
James, Reseller told me your access points are all cloud managed. I'm not into that. If that's not true what's the smallest ap I can get that works with the firebox?
Just to be clear, when you say reset, does that mean the ap config will or wont survive a reboot like pulling the ac plug out and plugging it back in? Thanks
Hi @Steve_E
All of our current APs are cloud managed only. The current line of APs focus on the one (cloud) managed option.
Reset means any of the procedures listed in this article:

If the AP is just power-cycled, it will come up with its last running configuration.

My AP300 was powered off for way more than 1 year.
I plugged it in, and it came right up.
thank you
