Dimension upgrade does not support the upgrade feature
I'm currently running 2.1.2 U4 (622159) of the vmware appliance dimension with the built-in database. I went to upgrade it and saw an error that said
"The current Dimension server version does not support the upgrade feature.
To upgrade the server, deploy a new Dimension-2.2 VM. You must manually migrate data from the current VM to the new one.
For more information, see https://watchguardsupport.secure.force.com/software/SoftwareDownloads?current=true&familyId=a2RF00000009On4MAE"
What's the best way to proceed?

Best to always read the Release Notes prior to doing an upgrade.
From the Release Notes:
https://www.watchguard.com/support/release-notes/fireware/12/en-US/EN_ReleaseNotes_Dimension_v2_2_2/WatchGuard_Dimension_2_2_2.pdf
"You can upgrade to Dimension v2.2.2 directly from Dimension v2.2 or v2.2.1 only. It is not possible to upgrade from v2.1.2 Update 4 or lower directly to Dimension v2.2.1 or higher.
You must upgrade to v.2.2 first. To upgrade to v2.2, go to Upgrade to Dimension v2.2."
https://www.watchguard.com/support/release-notes/fireware/12/en-US/EN_ReleaseNotes_Dimension_v2_2/index.html
The v2.2 Release Notes say:
To upgrade to Dimension v2.2, we strongly recommend you deploy a new instance. This upgrades the Operating System to Ubuntu v20.04 LTS. If you do not deploy a new Dimension v2.2 instance, you will not be able to upgrade to future Dimension releases.
It also has this info:
Migrate your database to the new v2.2 instance. For more information, see Move the Dimension Database to a New Dimension Server.

Thanks Bruce. I didn't relize that i let it fall so far back in versions. I was to follow the procedure and get it up to date.
