Redirect Internal IP address to External or different IP Address

Hello,

I would like to route an internal IP address (10.0.0.x) to an external IP address (172.31.0.x). Meaning that if someone on the LAN tries to say, Remote Desktop to 10.0.0.x they will be redirected to 172.31.0.x.

Is it possible to do that via a WG XTM535 Series firewall?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

    Hi @jrbennett88

We can do the inverse, (using an external IP to reach an internal resource) via a static NAT.

The issue with what you're trying to do is that typing in an IP on 10.0.0.x from 10.0.0.x won't make it to the firewall, so the firewall can't action anything this way.

If you need to use two IPs for one host, check to see if the that host supports multiple IPs on one interface.
