One rule for Both HTTP and HTTPS
Hi
Is there a way to make a rule for both http and https traffic at once ?
for now we have 2 rule, 1 for http, and a 2nd for https, but it's pretty lame to configure when we have some modification to do.
so i'm wondering if there is a way to do that.
or i could do a rule on port base, for port 80 and 443, but i don't think a can put a proxy/webblocker on these kind of rule ?

You can only do this for a packet filter, not for the HTTP & HTTPS proxies.
Since so much web site traffic is HTTPS now, content inspection has become very important, which one can't do with a packet filter.
yep, you can create one Outgoing proxy policy that include both the http and https proxy.

This is the way how example the Cloud-managed Firebox does the config.
One way is also that you change over to the Cloud-Managed way….

Ah yes.
Thanks, Kimmo
If the goal is to have the same Source and/or Dest be the same on multiple policies, one can do that using an Alias.
One change to the Alias will end up being applied to all of the policies on which it is used.
