can authpoint be used with stand alone / local Pc's?

I'd like to add MFA to our Pc's but we do not have a server environment.

Can AuthPoint be utilized in a non-server, stand alone, local Pc environment?

I have read many of the documents and I can't seem to find a definitive answer to this question. I keep seeing where a Gateway needs to be installed locally and there needs to be a user database to verify users and passwords. I have also read where you can add individual users on the AuthPoint Cloud.

I would like them to MFA to there Pc. Being a car dealer and the FTC making our regulations stiffer we need to get more protection without the huge expense.

We're currently using a Firebox M370 w/FW 12.8.2, WSM 12.9.0

Any input would be appreciated.

    AuthPoint can be used for local PCs, however, local users need to be created in AuthPoint that match the user accounts for it to work.

    From what I understand, the AuthPoint user name has to be the exact same as the Pc user name, correct?
