I have an old ap from a client but not able to setup because it it already managed by his old provider. Is there a way to force to hand over the IT provider management.
You can create a customer care case (use the support center button at the top right of this page.)
-Create the case under the account you want it moved to.
-In the case, mention "transfer of ownership" and include the serial number of the device.
-In the case attachments, include a picture of the serial number barcode and other labels on the back of the AP.
*Note that cloud managed APs will be reset during a move operation like this, so you will need to be prepared to reconfigure them if that is how they are set up.
*Also note, there are some account types where this is not possible, like if the reseller is an MSSP and the AP is an MSSP device. Customer care can let you know if this is the case.
