Cloud Managed Firebox: External Interface VLAN Tagging from local Webinterface

Hi folks,

many ISPs in germany demand a VLAN Tagging for their internet connections.

In Watchguard Cloud Management I can set the VLAN and it's working. At my office the Firebox downloads the cloud config and applies it. Then I can drive to the customer and install my cloud managemened Firebox and everything works fine.

But if I install the Firebox from scratch directly at the customers site and there is no other internet connection avaiable except the one that demands a VLAN Tagging, I have no chance to configure the external interface of the Firebox with an VLAN Tag.

Please provide the possiblilty to a cloud managed Firebox to set up via the local webinterface the external interface with VLAN Tagging.

    Hi Gonzo,

    For setups like this, we generally recommend putting the firebox behind a NAT router for initial setup, which will allow it to pull settings down. This is the same method we recommend for customers attempting to pull down locally managed rapiddeploy settings.

    There is an open feature request for the ability to set external vlan on these devices, that is FBX-21001
