Our new voip phones show disconnected several times a day. The phone guys say its the internet. What is the best way to monitor or see reports on this to troubleshoot?

    Hi @Rokit
    I'd suggest asking the VoIP guy to elaborate what they mean by that. When a SIP phone registers, it'll generally refresh that session every so often (as a registration update.) By default, the outgoing policy on a firebox will allow this type of traffic. (They often update every 300 seconds or 5 minutes or so.)

    If they can provide information about what specifically they believe is wrong, it's helpful in determining what to troubleshoot.

    Thanks, but I believe they will not be of any help, I think it's a standard response to blame it on the internet provider. Besides I am trying to learn more about the tools I have and the configuration. I think it's going well, It just would be nice to know where to look when it is not
