Re-routing http traffic if web server is down
Hi There,
I have a web server behind my watchguard cloud in a private subnet so I have NAT setup to route traffic to it.
I want to know, is there some way I can have http traffic sent to another web server on the private subnet if the main web server goes down and have the traffic re-route back when the server comes back up again.
This is just so we can have a holding page if there is a problem or rebooting becuase of updates. I though id explore the watchguard side of things before setting up some sort of load balancing / auto scaling group in aws.
Thanks

Consider using server load balancing. See:
