MacOS Monterey - cannot allocate tun/tap dev dynamically mac
We have a Mac with MacOS Monterey v. 12.1 that continues to get this error when connecting with SSLVPN client 12.7. There are no popup messages of any extensions getting blocked. I read that removing a few lines in the .ovpn file could potentiale fix this issue but I haven't been able to locate its path. Any suggestions on how this issue can be resolved?

Hi @DanyS
The WatchGuard SSLVPN client pulls the OVPN file each time it connects to the VPN.
If you use the OpenVPN client, you can download and use the OVPN file from the firewall itself. See:

Hello @james.carson. Do you know if the new versions of MacOS are having issues with SSL VPN ? And are there any fixes we could implement? Both SSL client and Firebox are updated to latest versions.
We haven't really been using OpenVPN client but might have to give it a shot
try Tunnelblick OpenVPN client.

@DanyS Most of the issues related to SSLVPN/OpenVPN in MacOS are due to MacOS system extension changes. It's possible that it may only be possible to use MacOS' built in VPN in the future.

None of the VPN clients worked. Seems that Apple has decided to disable the extensions with newer versions of Mac. The workaround is to enable the extensions upon boot/recovery mode. However this is not an option for our company. Thanks for help :-)
