Broblem with modem in pass through

We have had two systems at different sites that seem to not renew the DHCP when connected to a modem that is setup in bridge/pass-through mode. Once we reboot the wachguard it gets an IP address and is good until the next day.

Has ny one seen this problem or know if there is a fix?

The WatchGuard should be getting a DHCP reservation which includes a lease time from the ISP. Per DHCP specs, it should be attempting to renew that DHCP lease at half of the lease time.

To get more data about what might be happening, I'd suggest opening a support case, -- you can do this by clicking on the support center link at the top right of the page.

If you can get the following from the firewall while the lease is not renewed (before rebooting it.)

-In you use WSM (WatchGuard System Manager) open Firebox System Manager, go to the status report tab, and click support, then retrieve.
    --or--
-If you use the WebUI, go to System Status -> Diagnostics, and click the link to download a support log file.

Attach that file to the support case, and leave a note that it was taken while the problem was occurring.

That can help determine what might be happening, and creates a snapshot of the logs at that time.
