MacOS - SSLVPN no DNS Settings / System extension cannot be allowed during install
Hi,
when connecting to the ssl vpn the gui shows that dns server of the remote lan should be used, but dns resolution is not working. The mac is connected to local lan via wifi.
If I add the remote dns servers manually to the wifi connection dns resolution is working, but that is a bad and only temporary workaround...
During the installation of the most recent ssl vpn client a system extension could not be installed and I have no option of allowing this extension.
Are any of these two problem known? Are there other workaround that I can establish?
Cheers,
Nicki

After rebooting the macs in question another time. The dns resolution via Watchguard SSL VPN started working out of nowhere. In my demo yesterday the reboot did not solve my problem.
Today I could verify the presence of the dns server with:
scutil --dns
Strange...
Still I get the error about the system extension during install on a m1 mac with MacOS 12.0.1.
Perhaps this will help:
