FSM HostWatch shows many pings to the link monitor IP addr

FSM HostWatch shows many pings to 8.8.8.8 - the link monitor IP addr, with a number started more than 4 mins ago.
Why are they still showing ?
Shouln't these be removed as soon as there is a ping reply ?
And shouldn't there be a short (30 sec) timeout for pings ?
Running V12.5 beta.
