get firmware version via SNMP?
HI everyone,
we've been working with SNMP to monitor our watchguard devices - one thing that we do no seem able to find is any MIB or OID that will give us the firmware version of the device.
Alternatively for other hardware where this has also been missing we have in the past been able to parse it out via a welcome-message or device-description field which includes the firmware with the device name - but again this doesnt seem there in the watchguard devices we have.
we're working with a range of T30, 35, 40, 55, M370 devices all on firmware 12.0 and above
and help greatly appreciated,
thanks

Hi @ACIWatchguardUser
You'll need to install the WatchGuard MIBs, but the following one should give you what you're looking for:
(Enterprise MIB File Details)
https://www.watchguard.com/help/docs/help-center/en-US/Content/en-US/Fireware/basicadmin/snmp_mibs_details_c.html
(Details about where to get the MIB file are in the support article link)
wgSoftwareVersion The software version on sysA and sysB. 1.3.6.1.4.1.3097.6.3.1
sysA's output is the current running version of the software.
