New NFR for HA

Hello everyone,

for our new headquarters we took 2 M370 in NFR, both arrive with 3 years total security, we have already activated the first, now I ask you if to put the second in HA you have to activate the license or not, any ideas?

Hi @Cristiano
To use a device (for it to get a feature key) you need to activate that appliance. You won't be able to join the other unit to a cluster without a feature key, so you'll need to activate both devices.

Yes, once you have the feature keys for both devices, you can set up the cluster.

if I configure the cluster in passive active mode, is there no need to activate the second unit with key?

Both units need to be activated in order to form a cluster
