SSL VPN connection time limit

Hello,
I am in need of forcing all SSL VPN client to disconnect after 10 hours of uptime. Regardless if the user is currently requiring and using it. Traffic based is not an option. I have found a KB article from 2005 Watchguard that was useless. The other recommedations online have not worked.(SSL VPN proxy set limit and timeouts)
Please help and thanks for any responses.

  • There is a Session Timeout setting for Firebox-DB users.
    Have you tried that ?
Would limiting the active hours for SSLVPN access be of help ?

    Hi gblsys,

    Thanks for writing.

Most OSes are "chatty" enough over the VPN that any idle timer won't make any different. The biggest problem we run into is external connectivity to the firewall.

If you connect to the VPN now, what happens? Do you stay connected for a specific amount of time, or are you booted off randomly?

Do other users experience the disconnect, or is it just one or a group of users?

    Thank you,
