Install Fireware OS on Blank CF Card

I have recently inherited the Sys Admin position from a Sys Admin that was layed off. He had converted an M400 Firebox to a PF Sense firewall. I ordered a new CF Card and would like to revert the M400 back to its original state. I jave NO IDEA how to get this done. There are a million tutorials on converting the watchguard to a PF Sense firewall, but NONE the other way around. Can this be done? I would like to have this one as a spare for our production unit.

    Hi Andrew,

    WatchGuard doesn't generally provide firmware images outside of what is avaialble on software.watchguard.com. You can try booting the device into recovery mode and attempting to flash it that way.

    If the device successfully boots this way, you'll need the WSM app (WatchGuard System Manager) as well as the version of fireware you want to recover to installed on the machine you're performing this task on.
