Callback instead of constant polling?

Is WatchGuard considering implementing a callback to push notifications in the API versus constant polling of the server to determine the uses response or lack thereof? Each authentication attempt is essentially a process lock polling away against the WG servers asking "now? now? now? now?" versus providing a callback URL that the WG would trigger on a yes, no or a timeout.
