Webblocker not blocking youtube from Google Chrome

I have an XTM26w with latest software and webblocker app. I have had on ongoing issue with Google Chrome being able to access Youtube.com but other browsers like The Edge or Int. Explorer in Windows 7 block access like expected by settings in Webblocker. I have deep packet inspection enabled and have tried different rule settings but Google Chrome seems to ignore the settings. Any ideas?

  • Could be that Chrome is using QUIC - UDP ports 80 & 443, not TCP port 80 & 443.

Also, the source can be from various places, such as q4flrne7.googlevideo.com

This (blocking TCP and UDP) seems to have worked for me too, although not in all browsers. I wonder if we need to block more ports...

    Hi @SecurityAdmin
Blocking both TCP -and- UDP 80/443 will leave you unable to access the web.

TCP 80/443 are the standard HTTP/S ports.
UDP 80/443 are QUIC, which aren't proxy-able via the WatchGuard.

You can deny QUIC by policy via the firewall by following the KB here:
