DNS through wireless

What could cause the fact that can access resources through IP but not by name if I am connected with my laptop to the office wireless.
Everything works fine if I am wired.
Network settings are the same for wired or wireless networks, they are setup as bridge on a T35 device.;

    Possible reasons:
    1) you don't have a Domain Name suffix associated with this connection if you are trying to connect to a short name, not a FQDN
    2) you are not pointing to a DNS server which can resolve the name to an IP addr

    Thanks for the answer, Bruce.
    While I was waiting I realized that the Domain name suffix was not entered in the DNS/WINS settings. I just enter it and it has to be tested.
    The DNS server used is the Domain DC
