lan & wan same subnet
t30 running 12.4.1. Lan ip address/network is 192.168.1.1/24. the External eth0 is set to dhcp and is receiving an address on the same subnet. The gateway on external is 192.168.1.2 and I am trying to access the century link modem on that external address. However, not able to access it because i am routed to the lan side when trying to access that ip, and it times out. Any ideas? I have tried 1:1 nat mapping on WAN, but rule hasn't been applied since i keep getting routed to the lan side.

Switch to drop-in mode. Then you can access 192.168.1.2 from your trusted 192.168.1.x LAN.
Note that using Drop-in mode has limitations.

Also, in Mixed Routing mode, the subnets on External should be different than that on Trusted
drop-in is a good idea - thanks @Bruce_Briggs . Yeah i didn't even know it was possible to have to same subnet on ext/trusted until i got this ticket today about this. and today i've got 2 different boxes with this happening.
