Any way to have multiple AuthPoint users with the same email address?
Hi,
I’m trying to configure MFA for VPN, and Windows/Mac logins. In each case, the user names are different (e.g., how Windows vs Mac local accounts are configured), but since the user behind the login in each case is the same, so is their email address. Adding a user to AuthPoint fails if an existing user (say, from an external directory) has the same email address. Is there a way around this? How can I have multiple AuthPoint users (local/external) with the same email address?
Thanks.

Hi @wwmiller3
You have a few ways around this:
-Some email providers will allow user@example.com to specify a folder by doing something like user+folder@example.com to specify a folder to sort email into. If your server supports this, authpoint treats it like a unique email.
-If you own your own domain, you can alias another user (like bob.jenkins.macuser@example.com) to the same mailbox, and use that one.
Authpoint requires what it believes to be a unique email for each user, so each email is going to count as two accounts inside of authpoint, and be two tokens per phone.
