Addding firebox with public ip ending in "0"

Just ran across an error when trying to add a firebox to our management server. the public ip address of the firebox ends in 0, and wsm server says "please enter a valid ip address". Its definitely a real and valid public ip address. Not sure what the subnet mask is but 0 in the 4th octet is a valid host for this office's firebox. Anyone else come across this?

Comments

  • Try a subnet mask of /23 or /22.

Normally the bottom (network) and top (broadcast) IP addr of a subnet are not used, and WG mgt software prevents the use of these 2 IP addrs.
