several alias are blue and I cannot edit them.

in system manager i have several aliases that someone in our company added, but they are in blue and i cannot edit or delete them. how did they get blue and how do i make them editable?

  • Blue ones in my config are Interface, VLAN and BOVPN related aliases.
    Some are defaults from WatchGuard, such as Firebox & Any-External, which can't be deleted.

    Look at your Interface, VLAN & BOVPN sections

  • You can also open the config .xml file in a editor, such as Notepad, and search for the alias name.
    The section that it is in may give you a clue as to where the alias is defined.
