Slack / Webhook for external notifications

It would be great if we could have a slack / webhook (creation) for custom notifications.

    Hi @Pedro
    You can already create custom notifications via Dimension generated emails and/or Syslog. Most administrators digest notifications from either of those services into anything custom.

    Could you provide any more details on how this would be advantageous over the current methods?

    I concur!

    Other external tools offer much greater support for integration with different platforms.

    I suggest looking into Telegraf for capturing SNMP (has plugin for receiving traps, as well as getting snmp data) and a Syslog receiver

    I capture lots of data this way, which you can store in InfluxDB, logstash, Loki, Kibana etc. And visualize using Grafana, Prometheus, Chronograf,

    Alerting through for example Prometheus Alertmanager, Grafana also has lots of notification channels.

    So you can make more rules and have much more flexbility than what the Watchguard could support by default.

    For instance I added Opsgenie as a notification channel, and I get a phonecall from Opsgenie notifying me or teammember if VPN tunnels or entire connections have been down for X minutes.

    Watchguard will only send 1 bovpn down notification once
