How to Block ads and trackers at the network level and protects any device connected to that network.

    You can use WebBlocker to block most ads: Productivity -> Advertisements.
    . To do this for HTTP sites, you would need a HTTP proxy and WB set to block Advertisements on the HTTP proxy action.
    . To do this for HTTPS sites, you would need a HTTPS proxy with Inspect enabled and WB set to block Advertisements on the HTTP proxy action.

    This will block all sites which are in the WB database listed as Advertisements

    The only way that I know of to block trackers via the firewall is to block specific domains as WB exceptions.
    Web Browsers have the ability to block trackers. However doing so will prevent some sites from working properly.

    You also need to block Web Analytics.. This is the bit that collects the private data.. It is a little bit like mole whacking - new ones pop up every day..

    Like @xxup mentioned, it's mole whacking. We do our best to keep our webblocker category up to date. However, as you do this, you'll also find that removing some advertising content literally breaks webpages.

    If you find a ad tracker that isn't in the advertisements category, requesting a category change for webblocker is the best way to have that investigated.
