VPN connects but no access to local resources via host name

VPN connects but no access to local resources via host name. I can ping via ip address and connect to local resources via ip address all day long but I can't via host name. I'm missing something. Can someone point me in the correct direction?

VPN is IKEv2

    Are you using a fully qualified domain name to try this access ?
    If so, does this work ?
    If not, have you entered your Domain Name suffix in the Network -> Config -> WINS/DNS ?

    I'm not sure about IKEv2, but with Mobile VPN/SSL you need to specify the DNS server(s) for the connection.

    Thanks guys! The answer was to add the Domain Name suffix on the local machine. I knew it was something simple. I had already specified the DNS servers on the VPN side.

    You can add the Domain Name suffix in XTM on the WINS/DNS tab so that you don't need to add it to the local client
