unable to save Expired License
Hello,
i get „INTERNAL_ERROR: unable to set config Expired License“.
- fireware version date and policymanager are within the License end date.
- i also get
“Failed to Synchronize Feature Key – The Firebox failed to retrieve its feature key from WatchGuard. Verify that the Firebox has Internet connectivity and DNS is properly configured.” if i try sync from system manager. (internet and dns are available)
diagnostic task
PING servicesprd.westus.cloudapp.azure.com (52.159.232.72) 56(84) bytes of data.

Dec-08-2024 is the end date of support, so this an expired license
yes , thats what i wrote , it is expired
but i should be able to save this to firebox to use the non expiring basic services.
or sync license over the internet
both does not work
As far as I know, you can't apply an expired license to a Firebox.
Yes, a Firebox with an expired license should work for basic services, but I looks like you did a factory reset on the Firebox and then tried to import an expired license.
this usually works fine but normaly it is not necessary , you just "syncronize feature key" from system manager. (this works even on old x25 which are long time eol )
both does not work in this case , so the firebox is in a useless state
Perhaps someone else has a suggestion to get this to work for you.
maybe this helps

I believe that this is a result of not having a valid license on your firewall.
You can try contacting Customer Care, and see if they have a resolution for you.
Do that via a support case, and select Customer Care
Provide your firewall number
ok i found out whats going on - its a MSSP box ( they really expire )
