Patch Installation

when a client requires patches to be installed, it always warns the user to restart now or later. It is understandable that the User must restart the client. Would the patch get installed as the client boots-up, like next day in the morning? and if not, why?

    Hello, @JorgeAcevedo

Yes, the switch off-->switch on at the end of the day-->at the begining of shift will act as a restart for the patching procedure.

So the user can decide not to restart until the end of the shift, and the patching will restart its procedure at the start of the shift.

But bear in mind that the next patch will not take place until the device is restarted. So if there are second, third, and/or fourth patches in the queue and all of them need a restart, this could take four days to finish.

    Kind regards,

    Hello, @JorgeAcevedo

Restarting as soon as possible after the notification will certainly be the best and most secure option for keeping the device updated and protected in the shortest amount of time possible.

And yes, this will reduce the number of times we do remind the user a restart is needed.

Hallo @David_Carro , so the best action so all scheduled patches install at once, is for the User to take the time and do a restart when possible after the notification is sent? This will prevent for the pop-up appearing over and over.
