high CPU consumption watchguard M370

I am having problems with a process that is consuming 50% of my CPU and sometimes it reaches 100% and services such as https portals, dhcp and other services stop working, the service is as follows:

/usr/bin/admd -f

we updated to 12.11.3.B719894 and the problem still happen.

Any Help?

Comments

  • admd is related to authentication.

You should open a support case on this to get help from a WG rep to get this resolved.

    Hi @Diesco

Like Bruce mentioned, the ADMD process is for authentication on the firewall. When it uses this much CPU, that usually means something is trying to authenticate a lot.

If you have any services like Access Portal, or any of the VPNs, you may want to look into using the block failed logon feature.

    See:

I would also suggest opening a support case so that one of our technicians can take a look at what is going on with you and recommend any other action. You can create a case via the support center link at the top right of this page.
