What all quits functioning on Feature Key Expiration?

Are there any other functions that cease to work after the Feature Key & LiveSecurity Service expire besides the obvious Subscription Services included in basic/total?

The customer believes the firewall's ACL list (policies) will suffice... :|

For example, does the Default Packet Handling settings that include dropping port scans and flood attacks/DDoS still function as normal, or that too stops functioning?

Comments

  • Yes, all basic firewall features continue to work.
Only the subscription services will stop working.

    Hi @Masters

If you go to Setup -> Feature key (policy manager) or System -> Feature key.

Any feature that has an expiration date will stop working. Any feature that does not have an expiration date will continue working.

-Any subscription services (like gateway AV, IPS, WebBlocker, etc) will stop working.
-Default Threat protection/default packet handling will continue to work.

The customer will also no longer be able to upgrade the firmware on their device.
