Kernel panic when booting sysb
I have a T30 with unknown password that I want to reset. The standard procedure of holding reset button while powering on did not work, Attn light never comes on. I connected to the console port to try to do it from the command line. When I select the SysB boot option, it fails with a kernel panic error...

Assuming it's not a hardware failure, is there any other method to access/restore this device or is it bricked?
Thanks

Hi @cmc
It looks like the recovery partition on that appliance was either wiped, or is corrupt somehow. The only solution for this device would be to RMA it.
T30 and T30-W are going end of life on June 30, 2023, so unless you are planning to RMA the appliance right away, I'd suggest simply using it as a trade-up device. Purchasing a renewal for it will only net you a month or so of support due to the impending end of life on that model.

Got it. This is a non-critical environment so I'll probably just try my luck with a used replacement from eBay.
@cmc
I would suggest checking device serial numbers before buying to see what their current status is:

Also, be mindful of the end of life dates for devices:
