windows logon authpoint users question

Hi Wg,

To make it clear for me:
When you want to use authpoint in combination with office login (outlook, webmail, teams etc) you need an azure ad connection so the local AD can be used to do the authentication.

But when a user only wants to login on his laptop thats is AAD joined and has windows logon app installled. the aad connection is not needed right?
Only the username after azuread\ needs to be the same as the authpoint username?

or am i missing something?

If you're authenticating an AD user, AuthPoint needs a connection to that server (be it Azure or regular on-prem AD.)

If you're authenticating a local user (as in one that's just entered in on the PC itself,) you can create a local account in AuthPoint so long as the username matches the one on the machine exactly.
