What happens when my firewall goes EOL

I recently purchased an M200 firewall. I only need it to act as a bastion/external firewall as an inline DMZ, so its level of criticality isn't as important as the primary firewall behind it. My firewall goes EOL on 31-Dec-2022.

I have 2 questions:

(1) When the device has passed the EOL line, will it continue working; and,
(2) Will it retain the basic setup of more than ONE user to access it?

TIA. >rad

  • 1) yes - the standard functions will continue to work
Separately licensed security subscriptions stop working when those subscriptions expire.

    2) not sure exactly what you are asking here

    Hi @rsradvan210922
The firewall will continue to run, but will not receive any software updates, bugfixes, or feature enhancements. M200 is also going end of life at the end of the year.

If you configure more than one 'device administrator' user, only one user can edit the configuration at any given time.

  • Ahhhh...so that was what it meant about one user. This all helps. Thanks, gents. ;)
