Updating Firebox T10-W from very old firmware

Hello,

I have to update a very old firmware of a Firebox T10-W. The current firmware is v11.11.2 (!) and I've seen the last one is v12.5.11.

I read the release notes from the Watchguard website, I made a backup of the configuration, and I read notes about "Cyclops Blink" but I'm not sure if I can upgrade directly from v11.11.2 to v12.5.11 or if I need to follow a specific path ?

The configuration of this Firebox is very basic, only SSL-VPN are in use.

What is the success rate on this ? :-D

Thank you for your help !

  • Yes, works fine. Yes, I have done it, and yes...I would replace the T10. Even for just VPN...it on its own is a heck of a bottleneck for most environments (even home user, actually, especially home users who tend to move big bandwidth for their televisions and game consoles)

You should be able to go directly to the latest version -- provided the device still has support. If you don't have support, you should still be able to upgrade to 12.5.9.
