Firebox cloud management to local management
I am working with a customer that has a Firebox T85-PoE that they plan to remove from Cloud Management and convert to locally managed. Per Remove a Firebox from Cloud Management that process appears to be painless, but I need to confirm that the conversion will happen without any impact.
Could someone who has gone through this process confirm that it will occur quickly and without disruption to traffic flow?
Thanks

You can remove a Firebox from cloud management. The device will keep using the same configuration that was last deployed from the cloud, so your network should continue working normally.
Make sure you know the Firebox passwords that were set in WatchGuard Cloud. You will need these passwords to log in when the device becomes locally managed. If you don’t remember the passwords, update them first in WatchGuard Cloud.
After removal, you can only log in with Fireware Web UI.
Use the device’s IP address with port 8080, for example: https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080
If you want to use WatchGuard System Manager (WSM) again, you must add the WG-Firebox-Mgmt firewall policy before or after removing it from cloud management.

I'm really intrigued by the shift from cloud to local management you're discussing! It seems like a big change for Firebox users. What are some specific benefits you've noticed with local management vs. cloud? Also, how do you see this impacting security measures in the long run?https://community.watchguard.com/watchguard-community/discussion/4629/firebox-cloud-management-to-local-management#curve rush
